Supporting Christian Schools Work in Farnham
Here you can find out how to support us, and more about the projects we work with.
Signposts, at present, budgets for a part time coordinator. Many resources are kindly covered by churches such as building hire, and refreshments for meetings. Some churches give financially and others provide seconded workers and volunteers to assist delivery of the tours and provide consultancy around the writing of the material.
Cohesion consists mostly of youth workers seconded into the project by their churches and hence has a lower operational cost.
As an individual you can...
Cohesion and Signposts are financed in four main ways:
- By Churches seconding employed youth workers into projects
- Donations from Churches
- Support funding from FCCT
- Private/individual donations
There are two main costs for Cohesion and Signposts: people and resources. In addition to leading lessons and assemblies, youth workers will spend time liaising with schools, writing lesson plans, gathering resources and volunteers, travel and reviewing lessons amongst many other day to day tasks to ensure the projects are effective. Cohesion and Signposts and the young people of Farnham would hugely appreciate any financial support that you are able to give.
We are keen to recruit, resource and release competent volunteers to support the work that we do. If you have an interest in supporting the work of Cohesion or Signposts practically then please contact Amber Delves who will arrange an initial informal chat about how that may happen.
Please note that over and above the policies put in place by the schools we serve. Cohesion has a robust recruitment proceedure which needs to be followed before any individual can work in schools. For further information please contact Sean Gubb, chair of the Steering Group.
We'd love to hear from you whether you are an interested parent, a student who wants to give us some feedback, someone interested in volunteering or if you just want to find out more!
